Full-scope OTR wheel repair — sandblasting to certification

Four integrated services, run on-site in our Johannesburg facility. We carry replacement components and parts to keep the repair process efficient.

Sandblasting & Inspection

Every wheel is sandblasted to bare metal so the full defect picture is visible — no hidden cracks left behind paint.

  • OEM-standard defect reporting with photos

  • Full dimensional check against OEM specs

OEM-spec Welding & Re-engineering

Certified welders re-engineer cracked, gouged or worn rim sections back to OEM geometry using approved procedures.

  • Approved welding procedure specifications

  • Certified welders with full weld maps

MPI & Ultrasonic Testing

Final non-destructive testing on every wheel — Magnetic Particle Inspection on smaller wheels and Ultrasonic testing on every circumferential weld on Super Giant rims.

  • MPI on smaller OTR wheels
  • Ultrasonic testing on Super Giant welds
  • Technicians certified to industry standards

Refurbishment & Repaint

After welding and testing, every wheel is repainted to OEM colour and finish, then sealed against corrosion for the long haul.

Six reasons mine and construction sites trust us with their wheels

Three decades on the line

We have been repairing OTR wheels in Southern Africa for more than 30 years. The pattern matching between defect, weld procedure and test method is in our hands, not in a manual.

02

OEM standards, documented

Every wheel is matched back to its OEM specification, with a documented inspection report, fixed quote, weld maps and final Certificate of Conformance.

03

Quote before we touch a torch

You receive the photo-backed defect report and a fixed-price quote before any welding starts. No surprise variations, no scope creep.

04

Parts in stock

We carry replacement components and parts so the necessary repairs can be completed efficiently and consistently.

05

Super Giant capability

We test every circumferential weld on Super Giant wheels ultrasonically — the level of scrutiny the 57″ and 63″ IGLR classes demand.

06

6-month warranty

The repaired area on every wheel carries a 6-month warranty. If a defect recurs in the repaired zone, we put it right — at our cost. Read our latest repair stories →

Frequently asked

Answers before you book the collection

Which OTR wheel sizes can Titan Global Wheel repair?
We repair everything from mid-size loader and ADT wheels up to 57″ and 63″ IGLR Super Giant wheels used on the largest rigid-frame haul trucks. Our repair lines are set up for both light- and heavy-duty rims found across mining, quarrying, construction and earthmoving fleets.
What inspection and testing do you perform before and after the repair?
Every wheel is sandblasted to bare metal, then inspected against OEM standards using Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) on smaller wheels and Ultrasonic Testing on every circumferential weld on Super Giant wheels. A detailed defect report with photos and a fixed quote is presented to the customer before any welding begins.
What warranty do you offer on a repaired OTR rim?
Every repaired rim carries a 6-month warranty, and a Certificate of Conformance is issued on completion. Final inspection includes MPI on smaller wheels or ultrasonic testing on Super Giant circumferential welds to confirm compliance with industry standards.
Do you handle collection and delivery of OTR wheels across Southern Africa?
Yes. We arrange collection and delivery across Southern Africa for customers with a fleet of OTR wheels and runflats. Our logistics network covers South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, DRC and Tanzania for haul-truck and loader fleets.
